Lakselv - Norway

At the end of Porsangerfjord, on the very northern coast of Norway, LakseIv is the stepping-stone to Karasjok, the major commercial and cultural centre for Finnmark's traditionally, nomadic Sami (Lapp) people, whose intriguing origins and culture are thought to date back 8,000 years, and whose livelihood depends upon their prized herds of grazing reindeer.
