Lovund Island - Norway

The island of Lovund lies almost on the Arctic circle off Norway's north western coast in the Vega Archipelago, to the north of Bronnoysund. It features a flat summit that rises to 625 metres above the sea and dominating the whole island and surrounding skerries. A tranquil little village occupies a small flat area to the east. The island also boasts the world's largest Puffin colony, lundefuglene, of some 60,000 birds.
