Lysefjord - Norway

East of Stavanger runs the 23 mile long Lysefjord from Hogsfjord. The most striking point about the fjord is its enormous cliffs. The mountains rise in extremely steep cliffs from water level to more than 3,000 feet and the Lysefjord is very narrow as well (6,400 - 1,600 feet). One highlight of the Lysefjord is the Preikestolen Cliff (Pulpit) located at a height of 1,920 feet on a sheer vertical drop. It is part of the Kjerag Mountains which are over 3,000 feet high.
