Laagoya - Svalbard, Norway
Laagoya is small island off the north east coast of Nordaustland in the Svalbard archipelago. The landscapeis mostly flat, low hills and some smaller and larger lagoons and lakes. Is very barren, vegetation is very scarce. A big herd of walrus tends to congregate here, Sabine's gulls nest on the island and you may encounter families of ptarmigans. At Sorg Fjord you can visit the graves of 17th century whalers.
